In 1942, the crowned heads of Europe are blackmailed by the most dangerous man in the
world: J. Edgar Hoover. They turn to the only man they can trust: a lanky, smart-alleck
New Orleans detective by the name of Arthur Port (who just happens to be the same man
that helped put a German rabble-rouser named Adolph in jail back in 33). With his
trusty sidekick Samantha Sarzana, daughter of a Chicago family boss, they
race back and forth across the Atlantic, trying to stop Hoover before their deadline runs
out. Comedy mixes with drama in this spoof of 40s detective film noir, with just
enough subtle deviations from actual history to keep you on your toes.
